I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)

17 Magnetized Green

Another magnetic polish that I got for Xmas! This time it's the green one.

Lol apologises for having a different colour on (one coming soon).

And with flash.
All above are 1 coat.

I do really like the magnetic polishes but find them tricky to use! This is easy to hold, easy to apply and quick drying. I used plates that I bought on eBay and they are quite hard to use and I find it damn near impossible not to touch the nail with the plate! It's about getting into the swing and getting the knack for it. I'm slowly getting better at it. But the fact the polish is quick drying doesn't help my cause! Nice colour and nice patterns.

8 out of 10. £5.99 from Boots.

Deborah Lippmann Stairway To Heaven

I had been after this one for ages and held off buying it from America as I hoped Frasers would get it in, and they finally did!!!! Yippee. Little did I know just how awesome it really is! I put if on top of the previous post.

All above 1 coat. This is easy to use, easy to apply and gives good coverage with 1 coat. It's very sparkly and iridescent. Quick drying too. It's a clear base so can be put on top of light colours. Amazing. I tried my best to capture it! :-)

8 out 0f 10. £16 from Frasers.

Illamasqua Wink

Another of the Illamasqua polishes that I got with Santa money! This is a light purple pastel colour.

Natural light.

This is easy to use and hard to apply! It is very streaky so you need to be careful, it's a pastel after all! I found having a lot on the brush helped, but make sure you don't have too much! It's very quick dying and 2 coats gave an awesome finish. It lasted well. For a pastel colour this is excellent, as long as you get the knack for applying it. It's by far the easiest one I've used. And it's a beautiful colour.

8 out of 10. £13.50 from Debenhams and worth it! Also online too.

Chanel 529 Graphite

Having already tried Peridot, I thought it was high time I got around to trying another of the trio. This one is Graphite. It's a silvery gunmetal colour with gold flecks to it.

And natural light.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and is quick drying. It's a very good quality polish and 2 coats does. It's silvery gunmetal with some golden sparkle to it and quite glittery. Top notch polish.

8 out of 10. Got it from Debenhams for £17.50, I think it's still available in some stores and easy to pick up on eBay at varying prices. Worth the money.

China Glaze Oxidized Aqua Crackle

I have fancied getting these for a while, the metallic crackles, so I picked up a few from Sally Salon Services. This one is blue/aqua marine!

And with flash.

All above are 1 coat.

I put this on top of the last post. It's easy to use, easy to apply and the brush is very good for this type of polish. It's quick drying and 1 coat does. It's a nice colour and very metallic.

8 out of 10. Picked it up for £6.49. It's easy to get online.

Illamasqua Scarab

I picked this one up with Xmas money a few weeks ago. I could find myself getting easily obsessed with this brand :-p This colour is a sort of deep rich red with subtle tones of gold. Not quite iridescent but hey!

All without flash.

And finally with flash.
Hehe a wee bit bright. All the above are 1 coat!!

This is a easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying. 1 coat gives a good finish. It looks iridescent in the bottle but doesn't really translate to the nail that well, but the colour is lovely. In certain light it looks deep red and in others it looks brown. I do like it :-)

7 out of 10. Got it from Debenhams, but it's available online too.

17 Magnetized Purple

My first ever magnetic polish. And I got it from father-in-law for Christmas yah! As it says, it's magnetic and it's purple!

All without flash.

All above are 1 coat.

This is easy to apply, easy to hold and very quick drying. The magnet is very confusing at first so you will need practise. Because it's so quick drying you need to be quick and careful with the magnet. I kept touching the nail! I'm sure I'll get better as time goes on and I've ordered the fancy plates so we'll see how they turn out! It's a lovely colour and lasted well for 1 coat. It's a breeze to remove!

7 out of 10. Boots for £5.99 and from them online too.
