About Me

My photo
Scotland
I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)

OPI Come To Poppy

Another one from the Nice Stems collection! A pretty pinky colour!

Hard to capture (or do I suck at photography?)
Indoors with flash.

It's a pretty pretty pink.

And without flash.

The last one is like the colour I'd say. As are the flashy ones. All 2 coats.

Like all the OPI minis, easy to use once you have the hang of it! Easy to apply, formula pretty good and fairly quick drying. 2 coats did the trick! It's not what I'd call a shiny or glossy polish, but it's not fully matte either - halfway between I think. So if you want it shiny, top coat it. I didn't apply a top coat and it lasted well :-) Pretty colour and got a fair few comments.

7 out of 10 for this beauty. Easy to pick up online. I got it in the set of 4 minis during the summer (well I use the term loosely!) from Sally Salon Services for £7.99.

Color Club Fashion Addict

Holo heaven :-D And pinky this time.

Indoors with flash.

And without flash.

I hope you can see how gorgeous this polish is from the many pictures above! All 2 coats.

This is amazing! It's easy to use, easy to apply and the brush rocks. It's quick drying and 2 coats gave a good finish. You'd get away with 1 coat though. It certainly raised a few eyebrows and got several compliments :-) No top coat and it lasted well!

A certain 9 out of 10! eBay from American and British sellers.

China Glaze Winter Berry

I'm really fond of the China Glaze polishes and ordered the Xmas set online and it arrived the other day. The first one I decided to wear was the lovely red one by the name of Winter Berry.
It's a deep red colour.
With flash.
And without.

All above are 2 coats.

I do really love these polishes. This one is easy to use, easy to apply and the brush rocks. It's quick drying and 2 coats doesn't take long. It dries to a good shiny finish. Love it, love it, love it.

8 out of 10. Available from eBay or Amazon or various places online.

Max Factor Pearl Maron

Haven't had a Max Factor on in a while and I let one of my cats pick which colour to wear. He choose this one.
It's a sort of Rosy pinky orange-ish colour.
Indoors with flash.

Without flash.
And just for fun, with a pretty flutterby.

Max Factor nail polishes are pretty good and this is no exception! It's easy to use, easy to hold the lid and easy to apply. Goes on nicely with the good brush and only needed 2 coats. It's quick drying as well and last too. Nice colour!

7 out of 10. Can be picked up from most big chemists like Boots, also online!

OPI Tattoo You Want Candy? Halloween Nails!

I know it's a bit late, better late than never eh. I'm not very adventurous when it comes it Halloween, so I thought I'd do something fairly fancy with my nails. I used the orange OPI Tattoo You Want Candy? It's from a Halloween set from a few years back. I added some mega cool stickers that I purchased from Hong Kong off of eBay. The results.....

Sweet! Stickers get 7 out of 10 and the OPI polish gets 7 out of 10 as well. Both from eBay.
