Hallowe'en Nails

These are my Hallowe'en nails that I did with Orly Orange Punch. It is just the perfect orange for this time of year :-)

I decided to use two polishes and nail stickers. The crackle is China Glaze Black Mesh and the glitter is Technic Monochrome (which is from the other blog)! I was quite pleased with how they turned out and I got a good few compliments :-)

Orly Orange Punch

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying (about a minute a coat). It is a super bright neon orange. It reminds me of OPI Juice Bar Hopping! I really like the semi-matte/rubbery finish! Lasted really well.

Butter London Fiddlesticks

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying (1-2 minutes). It's a pretty glitter that dries matte. I didn't bother with a top coat as I liked this finish. Noticed slight scuffing but lasted well otherwise.

China Glaze Entourage

This is easy to use, okay to apply and okay drying (3-4 minutes a coat). The first coat is quite streaky but it sorts itself out after the third coat. It's a nice green colour and has a lovely subtle shimmer, that you can just about make out. Lasted well.

Orly Hawaiian Punch

This is easy to use, easy to apply and okay drying (3-4 minutes a coat). It's a really pretty colour with a lovely shimmer :-) Lasted really well.

Models Own Purple Blue

This is okay to use and okay to apply, the brush isn't the best I've used but it was okay. This is quite slow drying (4-5 minutes a coat). It's a pretty iridescent polish with flashes of purple, blue and copper. It also has a lovely shimmer too. Lasted well.

Marks & Spencer Kingfisher

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying (2 minutes a coat). The brush is really good and the lid is comfortable to hold. This looks a bit more brown than I would have liked but it does have a pretty pinky shimmer that is almost iridescent! Noticed slight tip wear after a while, lasted well otherwise.

Revlon Aquamarine

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying (about 1-2 minutes a coat). This is a pretty iridescent colour with flashes of blue and purple. I do really like this one :-) Lasted really well.

Illamasqua Throb

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying (1-2 minutes a coat). It is a pretty red creamy polish. It does only require one coat and the formula is thick but easy to manage. Sadly didn't last well, I noticed after 12 hours it had scuffs and a few chips. These chips only got worse with time. So wear a top coat with this. I wonder if having the two coats would have made a big difference? This is the first polish I've had on in a long time that has chipped :-| And I wasn't doing anything crazy - just out to dinner with friends having a good time!!! I also noticed slight staining upon removal - nothing major though.

China Glaze Escaping Reality

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying (1-2 minutes). It is a lovely bright neon pink colour that dries semi matte and rubbery! I really liked this finish and the colour! Lasted really well.

Ciate Fly With Me

This is easy to use, easy to apply and quick drying (1-2  minutes a coat). It's a pretty blue colour with a gorgeous red shimmer! That shimmer was tricky to capture, but somehow my husband managed it - so thanks to him and his fancy camera!!! This lasted really well.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and okay drying (2-3 minutes). I was quite surprised with this one. I had expected the polish to be much more purple than this! Just look at the bottle shots! I think it is just like a black. It is okay I guess. Lasted well.

China Glaze Monte Carlo

This is an old one that I picked up from eBay a good few years ago!

This is easy to use, easy to apply and slow drying (4-5 minutes a coat). I think it's slow drying because it is the older version? This is a very pretty colour and I like it a lot! Lasted really well. You may notice my nails are really short compared to the last post? I was cutting them and ended up cutting them too short :-( Oh well I'll learn!!!!
