I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)

Orly Cherry Bomb

This is okay to use and okay to apply. The formula is quite thick but easy enough to work with. Make sure you paint with thin coats for a good finish. Drying time is fairly quick (about 1.5 minutes for a coat). It is a really pretty red and it lasted well. But I have a few words of warning: THIS STAINS REALLY BAD. I had my normal base coat on and I got really bad staining :-| As I never have naked nails, this doesn't bother me, but it might be an issue for you.

Rating
Easy to use = 7/10
Application = 7/10
Drying time = 8/10
Lasted well = 8/10
Coats = 2
Finish = almost metallic like
Removal = easy with foil method - but does STAIN
Overall = 7/10
Purchased from = Fragrance Direct online

My Personal Rating = 7/10 :-)

  1. The shade of red is very eyecatching and of the brighter ones, I like it a lot. Sorry to hear about staining though, I hate when it happens. Maybe with more coats of a top coat it will be better? Anyways, sexy shade :)

    1. It's such a gorgeous shade of red! I know that's the only downside, if it hadn't been for that I'd have probably given it 8/10! Sexy indeed :-)

    1. That's a good policy. I guess since I paint my nails most days it doesn't really bother me that much - but still it shouldn't happen :-|

  4. I often don't wear base coat at all so I can imagine how it would stain my nails then :D... But the color is nice! ;)

  6. I like this nuance of red! However I hate staining, it ruins many nail art types (or mainly like french manicures) so I try being careful. :P

    1. Yeah staining is just annoying and wrong. Especially if it's a lovely polish! Aftering seeing what my nails were like after this, a french would look awful! :-)

    1. Thanks Christine! WOW you are so right, it really does look like a candy wrapper :-D It doesn't really bother me too much but it's still ugly. I wear so much nail polish anyway, my naked nails are nothing special to look at! ;-)

  12. A color has to be super special for me to put up with staining, and while this one's really pretty, I'd have to pass. I have that one song in my head now, though-- I'm your ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb! lol.
