Illamasqua Baptiste

This is okay to use, okay to apply and okay drying (3-4 minutes a coat). The brush is good and small making painting fairly easy. The lid, however, is tricky to hold with long nails! I had not noticed this being an issue when I had shorter nails! I think it is a gorgeous purple and it lasted well.

Rating
Easy to use = 7/10
Application = 7/10
Drying time = 8/10
Lasted well = 8/10
Coats = 2
Finish = glossy with a very subtle shimmer
Removal = okay
Overall = 7/10
Purchased from = either Illamasqua's online site or Illamasqua counter in Debenhams - can't recall!

My Personal Rating = 8/10 :-)

  9. This looks great on you! Seems like there is some almost duochrome/multichrome shifts in the bottle, which doesn't show on the nail, but it feels like it still contributes giving the polish some depth because it looks more vibrant than other regular dark blues. :)

  14. Together with Phallic, Baptiste has been my very first Illamasqua ever and I'm in love with it. Its shimmer is amazing!

    BTW, did you know you can remove the plastic cap? Just like you do with Chanel's and Dior's. :)

    1. Yeah Phallic is a gorgeous blue <3 I love it too! :-)

      Really I tried removing it and it didn't come off. I've tried with many Illamasqua's! LOL yeah Chanel and Dior have that advantage for sure :-D

    2. It takes a little bit of an effort the first time, but they are removable. I usually rotate it a little bit and then pull.

      Here's a pic

  15. Such a pretty rich purple!! I also love the subtle shimmer in it :) Lol, I have trouble holding stuff too with my long nails! Especially when I have to apply day cream from a little container, I get day cream all on and under my nails :p
