I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)

Day 16 Ciate Big Yellow Taxi

Day 16
Yellow belly!

All artificial light.

This is very streaky and very hard to apply. I have no idea how to get this one right. After 3 coats there is still evidence of bald patches and slight streaking :-( It did dry quickly! And lasted well. And it's a nice shade of yellow. I really don't have the knack for applying these colours (yellows, pastels etc), anyone know how to apply them without the problems?

Rating
Easy to use = 5/10
Application = 5/10
Drying time = 8/10
Lasted well = 8/10
Coats = 3
Finish = shiny creme
Removal = easy
Overall = 6/10

My Personal Rating = 7/10 just because I liked the colour so much!

  1. It's a pretty yellow. From what I understand good full-coverage yellows are few and far between but I've heard if you apply them over an aqua base they behave better (this also applies to other sheer, streaky polishes). The only other thing I can think of is painting on white polish before the yellow.

    1. They certainly had, found some success with Mimosa! I'll try the Aqua Base technique and then the white polish too. Thanks for the advice :-)
