I'm a simple Scottish girl with an unusual name and a strange obsession for nail polish! My aim is to capture what the eye sees, with a camera! Too much nail polish and never enough time. I have also started wildlife photography, which I enjoy very much. Welcome to my little world :-)

Sparitual Flamenco

Another new brand for the blog! Spotted this in TK Maxx and fancied trying it.

This is easy to use, easy to apply and okay drying (3 minutes a coat). It's a lovely textured polish and I like how it looks. Texture wise it isn't too rough. The brush is really good and the lid is comfortable to hold. It had one major issue though ---> it chipped quite badly! I've not experience such chipping with a texture before! I was quite surprised that it didn't last long as I've read this is a good brand! :-O

Rating
Easy to use = 8/10
Application = 8/10
Drying time = 7/10
Lasted well = 4/10 :-(
Coats = 2
Finish = textured
Removal = easy with foil method
Overall = 6/10
Purchased from = TK Maxx

My Personal Rating = 6.5/10 :-) I do really like it and it would have scored higher had it lasted well

  3. Sorry it didn't last long because it is a pretty colour and shade. I don't have any polishes by this brand. Ananka, when it comes to Colour Alike, the newest nail lacquers have appeared in the Polish site about 2 p.m. so maybe they will appear later in their international store.

  12. Well, I found and bought it yesterday. I bought two of those. But: one is berry with champagne glitter and the other one is red with golden glitter. No doubt, it's the same polish, same batch no., but they do look completely different. That's really some kind of funny.

    Kind regards,
    Elena

  18. Oh I liked this! It looks a lot like that OPI polish. Was it called Jinx? I was seriously thinking of buying it but then I forgot. Also the swedish brand Isadora had a dupe to the OPI one.. I must get a version of red+gold texture. However sad that this one chipped, has never happened to me..Maybe another base coat could work. Weirdly enough another base could make it last longer.

    1. It does look quite similar I think! I got all the Bond girls and not tried them all yet! I've heard that Isadora is really good :-)

      I used the Butter London nail foundation! That might be the trick! Maybe it was just a bad bottle - I really don't know :-|

  19. I'm so curious about Sparitual! If only we had TK Maxx here too...
    This one is really lovely. I remember I've fallen in love with one of their stunning blue shimmer a couple of years ago...and I still have to try one out. There's no way to get them here at a reasonable price :D

  22. love the color of this one! too bad it didn't last very long :( i've heard it is a good brand too but i haven't tried it myself. maybe try it with a different base coat? i found some of my texture polishes only wear well with certain base coats and chip terribly with other base coats

    1. The colour really is something! I cannot believe it! I've never seen on chip like this before. Maybe worth trying. That is interesting how that happens! :-)
